The city of Palma is the capital of the archipelago of the Balearic Islands and it is located in the island of Majorca; its geographical location is 3º longitude East and 39º latitude North. Registered population as of 1st January 2004 was 379.898 persons. Palma de Mallorca has a mild Mediterranean climate, with an average yearly temperature of 17ºC y an average yearly precipitation of 450 l/m2. This mild climate turns coast sailing of the island in an authentic pleasure. Its wonderful solitary creeks, inaccessible through land, are complemented by a great amount of yachting harbours with all equipments and services that we can need. The absence, practically, of tides and streams, make navigation and anchoring completely secure. Its countless creeks and inlets where one can anchor, bathing at sunset and at dawn in their transparent waters and go on the auxiliary boat to their thin sand beaches, is something that we shall always remember with nostalgia. Cala Esmeralda, Cala Pi, Cala Mitjana, Sa Calobra, Cala del Pinar, Isla de Conejera, … are some examples of places worth a visit. Majorca offers gastronomy from all over the world though typical dishes is something we cannot forget about. Cacarrois, arrós brut, escudilla, goat kid, Majorcan style cooked dentex, sea bass cooked in salt and of course the very tasty lobster stew.
